Teen Portfolio Student

Thursday
5:30 PM - 7:30 PM

This course is for the serious student preparing an art portfolio for college entrance. Students will build a portfolio geared towards their chosen schools. Guest artists are brought in to assist with the portfolio reviews and to make suggestions toward improving portfolios.  Past students have met with artists that have worked with Disney studios, professors of art and professional living masters conducting workshops at the Academy. Students will have opportunities to work on whatever they need to build portfolio requirements under the guidance of Hull Art Academy instructors. This course pairs well with the Saturday nude model sessions.  Students must show portfolios and meet with the instructor prior to admittance.

Supplies:

Click HERE for a detailed supply list. Please read through this carefully. This supply list shows required and recommended supplies, and it explains various substitutes available. We have also created a Teacher’s List through Jerry’s Artarama with all of the materials on this list. It shows all materials, required and recommended. You can choose from the items exactly what you need. Click HERE for the link to the Jerry’s Artarama List. Students in the Advanced Teen course will also need sketchbook materials. These items are listed in the detailed supply list above, and the Jerry’s Artarama List can be found HERE.

Please note that this list only has one brand for each item listed. You are not required to purchase that brand if you prefer another. We provided a list of acceptable brands for items in the more detailed supply list that is linked above. For example, the Jerry’s list has the Michael Harding Ultramarine Blue, but if you prefer the Gamblin Ultramarine Blue, the Vasari Ultramarine Blue, or another brand, that is fine.

*The above list has our favorite brands listed for all items. For a list of the most affordable, but still quality, products, use the following links: HERE for drawing supplies, HERE for painting supplies.*
