Portfolio Advancement Course
Flexible Programs.
Our Portfolio Preparation Course is individualized for each student so that they may receive the instruction and support that they need. Additionally, we work entirely online to accommodate students outside of our area. Single meetings are available for students who would like one meeting to discuss their portfolios with Mary Kearney Hull. Finally, the students will also have the opportunity to submit their portfolios to a panel for review. We also offer four week, eight week, and twelve week programs during which the students would have weekly meetings with Mary and one to three submissions to the panel, depending on program length.
How it works.
Each student in the one-month or three-month programs will have an initial, online meeting with Mary Kearney Hull, during which they will discuss goals, strengths, weaknesses, and recommendations. From that first meeting, Mary will recommend homework and assignments to strengthen the portfolios. Each week, Mary will meet with students individually, via Zoom, to see their progress and discuss next steps. We will also schedule times to submit work to a panel of artists 1-2 times throughout the program, depending on the individual student. In-person reviews are also available for those able to be at Hull Art Academy on an as-needed basis.
Program Options.
Single Meeting - $75
Students who would like a one-time review of their portfolio and recommendations from a member of our staff can choose this option. Students can submit their work to the Hull Art Academy, and students will then meet with Mary via Zoom to discuss their work and recommendations.
4 Week Program - $500
The four week program includes the following: 1 initial submission to Hull Art Academy and meeting with Mary, 3 additional weekly meetings with Mary, and 1 submission and review with a panel of artists. Students will receive assignments and recommendations for work from each weekly meeting and the each panel submission.
8 Week Program - $1,000
The eight week program includes the following: 1 initial submission to Hull Art Academy and meeting with Mary, 7 additional weekly meetings, and 2 reviews with a panel of artists. Students will receive assignments and recommendations for work from each weekly meeting and after each panel submission.
12 Week Program - $1,500
The twelve week program includes the following: 1 initial submission to Hull Art Academy and meeting with Mary, 11 additional weekly meetings, and 3 reviews with a panel of artists. Students will receive assignments and recommendations for work from each weekly meeting and after each panel submission.
