In this three-day workshop you will learn how to create realistic portraits from photos using colored pencils. Tanja will guide you every step of the way on how to turn an ordinary photo into a dramatic work of art using her unique style. We will start by drawing the image directly on paper. Tanja will provide demonstrations projected onto a screen, and one-on-one instruction throughout this immersive workshop. The goal is to demystify this lesser-known, but versatile and competitive, fine art medium.

 About Tanja

Tanja is a full-time artist residing in Texas. Tanja has won numerous awards in regional, national, and international competitions and has had her work exhibited in many shows throughout the country.

Her work has also been published in several books and magazines, most notably: Poets/Artists, Southwest Art Magazine, The Artist’s Magazine, and a series of Strokes of Genius books. Tanja’s drawings focus on the narrative and individual’s personality.
